The Day You Start Knowing God, That’s When You Start Living.

 Introduction

Did you ever feel that same empty feeling when nothing tangible or trophy will fill the hole in your heart forever. Maybe you have had times of great joy and prosperity but it never lasts as the feeling is only temporary. The reality is this… real fulfillment and lasting peace are only going to be found through one thing: a close, personal relationship with God.

This is not a part of religion or simple mental agreement about God being alive. It is your own personal walk with Him — His love and presence in you. This is how the true life of abundance starts.

The Essence of True Life

What does it mean to Really Live. There is more to living than breathing, eating and sleeping. It is the gift of living, and feeling how life works full circle to understanding: find your purpose, enjoy it. Real life involves a strong bond that results in contentment and serenity. It’s a life of living in alignment with the real you.

Many times, we confuse existence with life. We hunt down things, positions and pleasure just to discover a huge empty space at the end. We crave something deeper, more everlasting. Because God created us for relationship with him — the giver of all life.

Scripture tells us God has set eternity in our hearts (Eccl. 3:11). The seemingly inherent desire for more can only be reconciled through the pursuit of eternity.

The Transforming Power of Knowing God

The knowledge of God is not a mental acquiescence, or even routine acceptance of the existence of God. It’s a friendship that has the capacity of changing people from within. Thus, when sin and the penalty for that sin have been paid, the intrigue really commences as believers enter into an experience that changes all of life.

It is like being born anew (John 3:3; 2 Corinth. 5:17; Titus 3:5). Our fleshly desires, our goals, and our principles come into a holy harmony with God’s wishes for us. We get to know these feelings which are peace, purpose and joyful feelings that are beyond comprehension.

The scripture is full of changes that occurred to people when they met God in a personal way. The man who was a Pharisee who was breathing threats of murder against the followers of the Lord, turns into a great evangelist known as apostle Paul. The Samaritan woman belongs to a group sexually involved with other men and thus turned down by the rest of the community, but after meeting Jesus, she was given a new lease of life and meaning.

When we advance in our relationship with God, our consciousness regarding our sinful nature and the Saviour’s mercy rises as well. This leads to repentance and the will to live a life which is right in the eyes of the Lord.

So as it has been depicted and discussed change is in actual fact is a continuous process. It is the process of building up of the fellowship between the believer and God as well as the process of sanctification.
